Curling with TCSC
TCSC Curling
TSCS Curling night. Great fun. We had a 30 min class then some lessons on the ice. Then we played a few sides and had dinner and drinks in the attached pub.
Curling is a sport invented in Medieval Scotland where stones are slid across the ice towards a target area which is separated into 4 concentric circles. Two sweepers influence the path of the stone by changing the state of the ice in front of it with brooms. (wiki- pedia)
Twin Cities Scottish Club Picnic
TCSC Scottish Community Picnic
Thank you to everyone who attended the TCSC Scottish Community Picnic, August 8th, at Moir Park.
We had a lovely time. We enjoyed a highland dance performance from dancers from MSCDA. The kids played games (sack race, musical chairs, Nuke ’em, waterballons and even Twister) and won prizes. The grown ups chatted and relaxed.
Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games
The Twin Cities Scottish Club hosted the Children’s tent at the annual Minnesota Scottish Fair and Highland Games on July 18! We kept cool in our tent with water guns and water balloons. We also had crafts and games including a kids caber toss. There were also guest entertainers throughout the day. Thank you to everyone who stopped by the children’s tent and a big thank you to those of you who volunteered!
